ASA® is the acronym for "Accredited Senior Agent." It is a prestigious designation that may only be used by those Canadian REALTORS® who have completed and accomplished additional courses including Canadian tax laws, estates and estate planning, wills, trusts, government grants and other options on ways you can release the equity in property for future living expenses. An ASA is not out to get your listing, they are trained consultants enabled to work with your other advisors to help you with safety and confidence in the downsizing process of buying and selling homes. Thrilled with the Accredited Senior Agent course I attended over the past 2 days - there was SO much information and knowledge I walked away with! I can hardly wait to share with my clients who have parents who might be considering a move or with my clients who are 'smartsizing'! Message me for more information! Thanks to Chris Newell, amazing source of knowledge!

Like an educational "death by chocolate" layer cake, the ASA (accredited senior agent) course is so heavily content rich and thought provoking I'm still in the learning hang over.
Haven't been, then go.
Been? Go again!

I believe that if Chris Newell had a nickel EVERY TIME he heard that people wonder why they waited so long to attend the ASA Program, he wouldn't have to teach the course. As a friend of Chris' and known about this course, I did not investigate taking it (not sure why, as a percentage of my business is seniors)

But the practical application and the level in which service can be dispensed is not exclusively for seniors. The expertise you can now give first time to last time buyers and sellers is yours to discover in this course.

If there was just a cardboard cut out of Chris at the front and the course material you would still be swamped with swag (where to, how to, who to) resource to elevate your business. Add the live Chris Newell, and the event is 3D

"The material is extremely relevant whether working with seniors or not. Definitely goes deep into understanding seniors' psychology."

"I wish I'd known this stuff 3 years ago; not as a Realtor, but as the daughter of senior parents trying to juggle their life/house/finances."

"Fantastic Class! Presenter was clear, concise, knowledgeable, fun, great relevant stories, exciting to listen to! FINALLY!, an enthusiastic, exciting instructor! I gained information, practices, insight that I can apply to become an expert. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to take this class."

Hello Chris,

Thank you for my “Stripes”, just received.
Your course is one of the most memorable ones which I have taken in the last 27 years as a Real Estate practitioner.
I feel that your tutorial methods and in particular the manner of the introduction of the complex topic of dealing with Seniors was presented in a clear, concise and palatable way. You have left it for each of the course participants to incorporate the concepts of the course in any manner that they see fit. Some will succeed, others will not ,.as there is a lot of material to absorb.
For myself, I plan to aggressively promote the course concepts as well as your suggestions, with the aim of securing a sizable portion of the Senior “market”.
And now with this designation of ASA, I plan to start immediately to achieve my goals.
Thank you again Chris, and naturally I will recommend your course to any of my colleagues.

Best regards

Hi Chris,
Thank you so much for the time spent in instructing the course this week in Oshawa. I cannot believe how much great information I got out of this course. I think every agent should have to take it regardless of whether they wish to implement it or not. Every agent has to deal with seniors!
It was interesting today when I received a call from a lady in her 80's who is as sharp as a tack and wants move out of the "Seniors Residence" and buy a bungalow!! I have talked to the daughter with my client's permission and yes she will assist in her mother's wishes. The beginning of the week my client will have gone to the lawyer to see what her obligations are to the residence and to have a frank discussion with the family in attendance. She has her "To Do" list and we will proceed from there!
Having the tools at hand from the course to deal with ***** today was great!
Thank you again,

"Hi Chris, just wanted to share with you that I was contacted by an agent
in California through ActiveRain… She has an aunt here in Mississauga
who is selling her condo... and she chose me (and one other agent) to
interview in part because of my ASA designation..
Met with her and her aunt earlier today, and she emailed me to let me
know that they are hiring me to sell the condo.
Put to good use a lot of the information I learned in class…."

"Thank you Chris Newell and Barry Lebow that this Vender and her niece
read my ASA Profile, Called for a CMA and questioned
Assisted Living Locations and expenses.
Thank you that I knew how to answer the questions.....
Know what? There was no commission discussion when
you can articulate the value of the service you provide."
David Pylyp, Salesperson, RE/MAX Realty Specialists, Mississauga

"Chris, the course improved my awareness of the issues and
needs of seniors and helped me see what I was already doing
well and where to fine tune and look for opportunities."
Bruce Brown, Broker, Keller Williams Ottawa

"Chris -  just wanted to touch base and let you know I love my ASA tools
We did a write up in our local paper ( and I'm not a newsprint fan) but WOW,
great response across the board!
I know our offices are going to just continue to excel with this in place! Thx again."
